About Bruce Dwayne
Dwayne Daley, known as Bruce Dwayne, is an honest, authentic & impassioned hip-hop artist, who bares it all through his music. He fuses soulful sounds and humorous wit to get serious messages across to his listeners. Growing up in the multi-cultural city of Toronto, he familiarized himself with the cities numerous communities. This exposure influenced his character in a surprisingly positive way. In his youth Bruce dealt with issues such as immigration, living in a single parent home and maintaining personal relationships with others. These struggles pushed him to find an outlet for his thoughts. Bruce started his music writing journey at age 12 but did not release his first mixtape; “Pirate Music: The Adventure Begins” until age 22. Bruce primarily wanted create something to build a fan base in his hometown. Bruce created a compilation album alongside his college classmates.
Bruce Dwayne has been surrounded by music since the womb. He has been influenced by many genres like Motown, Reggae, R&B, Soul, Hip-hop and more. Artists like Michael Jackson, Tupac, Common, Snoop Dogg, Styles P, Barrington Levy, Sizzla, & many more have influenced his artistry. This diverse ear of music has shaped the way he writes and creates his music. He leaves his heart and soul in his songs for the listeners to think critically and relate to. Bruce tends to be very boastful with braggadocios lyrics to show that he can rhyme with the best of them, if need be.
His creative influences stem from comics, Japanese anime and video games. He references heroes and characters from DC and Marvel Comics, and many popular video games like Crash Bandacoot, Spyro the Dragon, Call of Duty, NBA 2k, and more.
With supportive guidance from his mother, he created a path in life to generate his own goals and follow his dreams in music. Ironically, as a young man he was not permitted to listen to rap, which further peaked his curiosity in the genre.
